Free Conflict-Free
Exam Timetable Generator
Turn a course list into a clash-free exam datesheet in seconds. Paste courses with their programme-semester groups (or student enrolment), set the exam window, and the solver places every paper so no student sits two exams in the same slot — and flags anything it can't place. No signup for your first timetable.

The conflict-free exam timetable generator built for registrars and exam cells
Every end-semester cycle, the Controller of Examinations' office rebuilds the same spreadsheet: hundreds of papers, shared electives across programmes, a fixed exam window, Sundays and holidays to avoid — and one overlapping paper means re-issuing the datesheet and fielding complaints. This free exam timetable generator models the clashes for you. Courses that share a programme-semester or elective group (or, if you paste enrolment, share even a single student) can never land in the same slot. Turn on the one-paper-per-day rule, set a preferred gap, and the graph-colouring solver spreads papers across the window, respects seat capacity per slot, and lists anything it cannot place with the exact reason — so you fix the window, not the students.
Paste CODE | Name | Groups | Students. Electives shared by several programmes list every group, e.g. BSc-CS-S3, BCA-S3.
Start and end date, 1 or 2 slots a day, Sundays and holidays excluded. The tool shows how many exam days you used vs. how many you have.
Get the on-screen datesheet with zero clashes, per-programme views and a list of unresolved papers. Unlock PDF/Excel for publishing.
Who is this for?
University and autonomous-college exam cells, Controllers of Examination, Registrars, deans' offices and ERP teams who prepare semester, supplementary or entrance exam datesheets. It also works for schools and coaching institutes scheduling mock-test series across batches.
Frequently asked questions
Is the exam timetable generator free?
Yes. Generate and view your conflict-free exam timetable on screen free, with no signup. Print-ready PDF and Excel export of the publish-ready datesheet are unlocked with a free account.
How does the tool detect exam clashes?
Two ways. Group mode: courses sharing a programme-semester group (or a shared elective group) are treated as clashing because their students are the same. Enrolment mode: paste student roll numbers with their course codes and the tool derives clashes from every student enrolled in two papers. It then assigns papers to date-slots so no student has two exams in the same slot.
Can it guarantee at most one paper per student per day and a gap between papers?
Yes. Turn on "Max 1 paper per student per day" to make it a hard rule, and set a preferred gap in days; the solver maximises spacing between papers taken by the same students and reports the minimum gap achieved.
What happens if the exam window is too short?
Papers that cannot be placed without a clash are listed as unresolved with the reason and the courses they collide with, plus how many extra exam days or slots you need. Nothing is silently overlapped.
Is my course and student data uploaded anywhere?
No. The scheduling runs entirely in your browser. Course lists and enrolment data never leave your device.
