What is a bulk certificate generator?
A bulk certificate generator is a tool that merges a list of recipients — typically an Excel or CSV file with names, course titles and dates — into a certificate template and produces one personalised, print-ready PDF per person in a single pass. It replaces Word mail-merge, one-by-one PDF export and manual renaming. This free Eklavvya tool adds what template tools lack: a unique certificate ID and a QR code per certificate, backed by a hosted verification page, so a training certificate, course completion certificate or participation certificate issued today can still be checked years later.
How to generate certificates in bulk from Excel (4 steps)
The whole flow takes about two minutes for a typical cohort: upload, configure, preview, download. No account is needed for the first run.
- Upload your Excel / CSV. Use a header row and one recipient per row. Name is the only required column; Course, Date and one extra line (grade, score, hours, rank) are auto-mapped and can be changed in the dropdowns, or set once for the whole batch.
- Set the certificate text and branding. Enter your institute or organisation name, choose the title (Completion, Participation, Achievement, Appreciation, Training, Internship or your own), the intro and action lines, the signatory name and designation, and upload a logo and signature image.

How QR code certificate verification works
Each unlocked certificate gets a random 12-character ID in the form EKC-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and a QR code that encodes https://www.eklavvya.com/verify-certificate/?c=ID. When the batch is generated, the recipient register (name, course, date, extra line, issuer name and time) is stored on eklavvya.com; scanning the QR — or typing the ID on the verification page — shows that record, marked Valid, Not found or Sample. Because the record is written at generation time, a certificate cannot be edited after the fact without the mismatch showing. Records are retained for 12 months and issuers can request deletion at exam@eklavvya.com. This is a lightweight, registry-style check — similar in spirit to the verification model behind W3C Verifiable Credentials, but with no wallet or software required of the recipient.

Templates, branding and what you can customise

What columns does my Excel or CSV need?

How does QR code certificate verification work?
Every unlocked certificate gets a unique ID (EKC-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and a QR code that opens the Eklavvya verification page. Anyone who scans it — an employer, an admissions office, an auditor — sees the recipient, course, issue date and issuer recorded at generation time, so the certificate cannot be edited after the fact.
Is my data uploaded? Where are the PDFs created?
Certificates are rendered in your browser with your logo and signature — those images never leave your device. Only the recipient register (name, course, date, extra field, issuer name) is stored on eklavvya.com so that QR codes can be verified; it is retained for 12 months and you can request deletion at exam@eklavvya.com.
How many certificates can I generate at once?
