Founded in the commercial capital of Puntland Bosaso, it has additional branches in Buhodle, Erigavo, Galdogob, Galkayo, Garowe and Qardho. The college offers courses in seven core departments, including but not limited: Medicine, engineering, veterinary, Business Admin, Sharia studies, It also operates distance learning center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">East Africa University wanted to conduct exams of the students. Due to the lockdown situation, the university wanted to conduct exams of the students from their homes in a secure manner with the help of the proctored exam invigilation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">University decided to opt for the Eklavvya platform after a successful pilot \/ mock proctored exam conducted for its students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Question bank of the exam for various academic branches, streams, years are imported in the system using bulk questions upload tools provided by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eklavvya.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eklavvya<\/a> platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simple Exam creation wizard helped university to define all online exam patterns in a quick time. All students were trained about how to attempt a proctored exam using documents and videos about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">University conducted more than 15,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eklavvya.com\/blog\/ai-powered-remote-proctoring-to-secure-online-exams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">proctored exams<\/a> in 3 weeks&#8217; time. They received positive feedback from the students about the simple user interface and the seamless experience of attempting online exams remotely from their home. University prepared a proctor list who performed remote invigilation tasks with a computer connected to the projector\/ big screen. Technologically, we were not ready for such unexpected instructions to move to online examination.
